GUMBOOT FRIDAY
– Friday, 1 November
|
Gumboot Friday raises funds to supply free counselling to young Kiwis in need. We are asking our students and wider Cockle Bay community to put on your gumboots and stand with New Zealand as we rally to raise funds for this crucial cause. Your generosity isn’t just appreciated; it’s life-saving. All donations made to the Gumboot Friday Fund directly support these young people.
To support this worthwhile cause, we are having a non-uniform day and ask that students wear their gumboots and/or bright clothing and make either a gold coin donation or donate via Kindo. Anyone in our wider school community can donate directly via this link.

Our Cookie Dough fundraiser is underway and signing up and selling is super easy. If you have already signed up when we had The Colour Run, then it is super simple! Your account is still active and easy to use.
All your sales will be tracked online and at the end you will receive a report showing who get’s what.

Health & Safety – Shake Out
|
Last week our classes participated in our national earthquake drill, the New Zealand Shakeout. The students learned how to drop, cover, and hold and that if an earthquake was “long and strong”, they should “get gone”.

New App for Parents – eTAP App
|
We have now moved to using a new app for home/school communication. This app is connected to our student management system and allows parents to log student absences, sign up for teacher conferences, complete permission slips, update personal details for your child/ren, access the school events calendar and website, as well as view current school year reports and access historical reports for your child/ren.
Trouble shooting:
- You need to access the app for the first time through the email you have been sent and on a computer/desktop NOT a phone
- Then click on the blue link at the bottom of the email and agree to the the terms and conditions BEFORE you follow the prompts to install the app
- The app will open in a new window on your browser
- Follow the instructions to change your password
Please email the office if you have any questions or are having trouble accessing the login.
