PTN Update

Hello CBS Whānau

Thank you to everyone who attended the PTN AGM on Tuesday night. We elected a new Treasurer, Jack Chng, and along with myself, Holly Yu, and Jo Catty, we look forward to leading the PTN until June 2025. I also want to thank Jay Chen for his contribution to the PTN over the past six years as Treasurer.

At the end of Term 1, we had our bi-annual Colour Run, and what a fun and amazing day that was! Again, thank you to our overall sponsor, Bizzy Bodz, and our Colour Station sponsors: Purple – Howick Glass, Blue – Asco Legal, and Red – Kian Furniture. With your support and sponsorship, we raised $23,500, which will be used to enhance outdoor learning spaces for our tamariki. Also, a special mention to those who came and helped and ‘got messy’ on the day. We can’t run these events without you, so THANK YOU.

On July 5th, we are running a ‘Finger Bun’ lunch with support from Nav at our local Bakers Delight. Keep an eye out on Kindo and make sure you get your purchase done on time so no one misses out.

In Term 3, we have Parents Night, a family portrait fundraiser, and a DISCO. Keep an eye out for communications about these events coming soon.

We need your ideas on upcoming events and fundraisers. I’ve heard feedback that we need more variety. Please email your suggestions to cbsptn@cocklebay.school.nz or, even better, come along to the next PTN meeting on July 2nd (snacks and beverages provided) it’s also a great way to meet new school families, and attending one meeting doesn’t mean you have to come to every meeting!
