Principal’s Message

Matariki Open Morning – Thursday 27 June, 9:00am-9:45am

We invite all parents to join us to celebrate Matariki at our open morning. We have prepared a range of activities in classrooms for everyone to enjoy and look forward to seeing you.

Senior Cross Country Event – Monday 1 July (Saving Day 4 July)

We are looking forward to our Senior Cross Country event on Monday. All students in Years 4-6 should bring their PE gear, including appropriate running shoes, and an old towel.

We welcome spectators and would ask that you enter the school grounds through the main entrance to the school office, so that the races are not disrupted. Please remain in the designated areas. A separate notice was sent out with more detailed information and race times.

Best Wishes

Our very best wishes to Alisha Coleman (Room 22) who is taking maternity leave at the end of this term.

New Entrants

If your child is turning 5 in Term 4 of this year and you have not completed an enrolment form, please do so now. Forms can be collected from the school office or downloaded from the school website.

Class Councillors
The class councillors are the elected class leaders from each class in Years 3-6. We want to thank the school community for helping us to donate 330 pairs of PJs to the Jammies in June charity.

Our leaders have spoken with their classes and we have chosen to support the SPCA and Cancer Society for future fundraising. We want to raise money and awareness through a non-uniform day on the last day of this term and with a Pawfect Pet competition.

Non-uniform day: This will be held on Friday, 5 July, the theme is sports. You can bring a gold coin donation to your class on the day or pay on KINDO.

Pawfect Pet Competition: To enter you will need a 6 x 4 photo of a pet (photo or printed) with your name and the pet’s name on the back. It can be your pet, or your neighbour, extended family or friend’s pet, or even a picture of your favourite stuffed toy. A gold coin donation is required as an entry fee (gold coin to the office). Please put your photo in the box under the Mahi Pai in the office.
